I am obsessed with trying to connect one image to the next. I am constantly coming up short.

I am infatuated with the idea of candid behavior. The world of dreams is the ultimate ‘candid’ space, fully released from the constraints of propriety, but the vivid complexity of the dream world fades as soon as we wake up, leaving us mouthing words for a dialogue we can no longer hear.

Our alienation from this ideal dream world reveals the imperfections of the waking one. My images, juxtaposed disconnected realities, echo that dream space, an i-ching reconnecting to the unconscious mind of the viewer. These can generate comic relief, yield increased visual/formal complexity through juxtaposition, or produce an interplay of two different imagined worlds. The raw material of these layered discoveries can be found all across the streets of New York, a shared chaos whose discordant tones can come together in a beautiful symphony. In the city that never sleeps, my insomnia will be televised.
